Some of the the cheap places have tattered mosquito nets, if any at all. The cheaper places only have solar-heated hot water showers, which won't be hot in the morning or on cloudy days.
Eleswhere in the Country the choice of hotels can be very limited, but you will find places to stay along most of the major treeking trails, making Nepal one of the few places in the world where you can trek tor three weeks without needing a tent. On lesser-trekked trails places may be spartan- the accommodation may be dorm-style or simply an open room in which to unroll your sleeping bag - but the Annapurna and Everest treks have excellent lodges and guest houses every couple of hours.
All midrange and top-end hotel charge a value added tax (VAT of 13%) and often quote their prices in Us dollars (through you can pay in ruppees) . Budget places quote prices in rupees and generally forget about the tax.
